PTSD UK
PTSD UK is the only charity in the UK dedicated to raising awareness of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Complex PTSD (C-PTSD), regardless of the trauma that caused it. Founded in 2015 by Jacqui after her own battle with PTSD, the charity provides resources to educate and support individuals, friends, and families affected by PTSD. It campaigns to raise awareness, improve UK healthcare policies, and promote recovery by empowering those affected with knowledge and resilience.
Domestic Abuse Education
Domestic Abuse Education is focused on educating workplaces about domestic abuse and equipping employees with the resources needed to recognise and respond to it. With 1 in 4 women and 1 in 6 men likely to experience domestic abuse, this charity provides crucial training and consultancy to help organisations create safe environments for victims. Their programs include accredited courses, lunch-and-learn sessions, and guest speaker slots aimed at fostering supportive workplace cultures.
Suicide & Co
Suicide & Co is a charity dedicated to supporting those bereaved by suicide and promote open conversations about suidie-related grief. Founded by Amelia and Emma, both of whom lost a parent to suicide, the charity offers professional talking therapies, including a conselling service and helpline. Their mission is to address the stigma around suicide and support individuals struggling with the unique emotions linked to his type of grief.
R;pple
Alice Handy lost her only sibling, her brother Josh, on 25th November 2020 to suicide. After examining Josh’s phone, she found that he had been researching techniques to take his own life via harmful internet searches. To ensure more help and support is given to individuals searching for harmful content online, she set up R;pple; a digital tool (available to download as a browser extension or through Wi-Fi integration) that can provide immediate support to people searching for harmful content relating to the topic of suicide and self-harm.
Tim Parry Jonathan Ball Foundation
The Peace Foundation was created as a living memorial to two boys, Tim Parry and Jonathan Ball, who were killed by an IRA bomb in 1993. It works to prevent, resolve and respond to violent conflict across the UK and internationally. The Foundation creates safe spaces for dialogue, provides conflict resolution programmes, and supports victims of terrorism with long-term casework and peer-to-peer programmes to help them cope and recover.
Crystal Stewart
Crystal Stewart is the founder of Stalwart Solicitors and a family law specialist. She is 11 years qualified and Law Society Family Panel accredited which shows particular expertise in the area of family law. Her focus is on empowering clients by providing them with the legal knowledge they need to make informed decisions, especially in areas such as divorce, children’s matters and domestic abuse. Crystal is passionate about helping individuals and organisations enhance their well-being by addressing legal challenges that impact mental health, staff productivity and overall workplace well-being.
